Come prepare to hike the Grand Canyon this Fall 2023. Scroll for more details.
When people ask me that question, I ask them if they mean length of time or length of distance. What is the distance? 7 miles to the bottom, with an elevation loss of 4800 feet, and 10 miles to the top, with an elevation gain of 4800 feet. What about the length of time? A well known thumb for this hike is to plan on twice the amount of time to get out that it took you to get down. Our hikers make it to the bottom in 3 hours and back out in 6 hours
There are many factors in preparation:physical, mental, nutritional, gear, and getting rid of everything in your life that is getting in the way of preparing. Through my 30 plus times of finishing this hike well, I know how to get you ready to makethis a victorious hike.

April 11-13, 2024

The cost for the trip is $1500. This covers the cost of transportation to and from Phoenix, entrance fees into the Grand Canyon, lodging, meals while at the Grand Canyon, and the other key factor in a successful hike, mental preparation. The cost covers four months of weekly group coaching to prepare for the hike by addressing all the life problems that prevent you from moving forward, and one month of coaching after the hike to solidify what you've accomplished. If you are unable to attend or that it's not for you, all money is refunded up until 48 hours before the hike.
This is a great question because we take two trails! South Kaibab to the bottom and Bright Angel to the top. The reasons for this are many and it is the best way to do it. This is a sample of the South Kaibab trail on the way to the bottom.
We stay both Thursday and Friday nights in double queen rooms in Yavapai Lodge. This lodge is located within the park. This gives us easy access to the trail shuttles we need to take to get to the trailhead. This lodge is also next to the only General Store in the park. There is a restaurant located in the lodge where we will have dinner both nights.
Before you can sign up, we need to talk about what you think will be a challenge to preparing for this hike. And how we work together to get you ready. And I'll answer all questions you have that haven't been answered. Click below to schedule that call.
